Swem Chapel
301 W. Front Street, Buchanan, MI 49107 | 269-695-6881
This beautiful chapel was built in the late 1800s with great care and craftsmanship. Today, many of our staff call Buchanan home, and we know this close-knit community well. We warmly welcome families and friends to celebrate the life of their loved ones with a heartfelt understanding of who they were and their legacy.
Each year, we keep a list of veterans who have passed away as a special tribute. Our close relationships with the American Legion and first responders ensure that our veterans receive military honors and our deceased firefighters and police officers are remembered for their service and bravery.
Our chapel holds up to 130 people, and we can share your loved one’s story with a personalized video or by playing their favorite playlist on our sound system. Our facilities are ADA accessible to everyone. There is a lounge where you can bring and serve snacks and a children’s area with a TV and toys. We will provide coffee and water to all of your guests. If you need a place to serve a luncheon or meal, we will help you find one nearby. Please visit our staff and chapel photo gallery pages below to learn more about our Buchanan Chapel. You will always be our family here.
