I will always remember the fun times over the years bowling with both the Mummaw and Mitchell family's. Tim was always smiling and having a good time. He would give advice to anyone that asked. Tim would join in when James and Jon would be picking on me. I am so lucky to have known Tim, he was one of the nicest people I have ever known. And I will cherish all the great memories.

So sorry to hear of Tim’s passing. Great guy that I’ve known since late 60’s and Little League baseball. Stayed in touch through the years and currently with his sons’s business. Every encounter was met with a smile and his laugh. Such a nice surprise to see him after a Earth, Wind, and Fire concert. Heaven better be prepared to hear a lot of that music. God Bless you Tim.

Is hard to believe that Tim will no longer be with us. As we grieve his passing, heaven is celebrating his entry. (“Our loss is heaven’s gain.”) What a blessing it was to read the remembrances that have been written about him. His radiant smile, the ring of his laughter, his fun loving spirit, his sense of humor, his willingness to lend a helping hand, his teaching talents, his patience with those he’s teaching, his bowling skills, his skiing abilities, and his loyal and trusted friendship will be greatly missed but not forgotten. Know that our prayers and thoughts are with you during this very difficult time.

Tim and I went to school together. Junior high through high school. He always had a smile on his face! My sympathies to your family. Rest in peace, Tim.

As a long teammate of Tim, always a firm handshake and warm greeting. Fierce competitor, yet always had time to help anyone with anything. We created a team that became a family. After about 30 years of bowling together, it is the calm, patient style that I will remember. We will miss you greatly!! Godspeed my brother!!

I totally agree with what our neighbor Celeste posted. Tim was always out in the yard and when we would walk by, we always stopped for a chat. I will never forget him helping my husband Tim get started on putting up a new fence last summer. Tim M. got my Tim going and helped a lot. Things were looking good at that time. The two Tims were really starting to become good friends, not just neighbors. We are going to miss him. Vanessa - we are here and we will stay in touch. Sending our love and condolences.

I got to know Tim and Vanessa when I moved in across the street almost 8 years ago. One day visiting out in the yard I asked his advice on hanging a new light fixture, well the next thing you know Tim is standing on my bed wiring in the fixture, laughing the whole time as he sent me to get the tools he needed. I will miss our visits and his training sessions with my dog, Brady. To say he was a great neighbor, just doesn't say enough.

I would swim from Grandpa Conrad's to Tim and Vanessa's during the summer, and everytime I reached their pier he would yell down "Hey Ray Ray!" (as a joke that I resembled my much much older uncle Ray ;) . It always made me laugh. His smile and positivity were infectious. He was such a great person and will be deeply missed by all.

We have only known you for a few short years, but during that time we knew you were a great man, husband, father and grandfather! We were so grateful for your kindness shown to our daughter, Lindsey. It is very hard to live so far away from your children, but knowing she is surrounded by wonderful people makes it a little easier. Your kindness and hospitality shown to us when we would visit was so appreciated! Sending hugs and prayers to Vanessa, Jill and James! I know he will live on in your heart but he will surely be missed by many. May God wrap his loving arms around you in this time of sorrow!

I think I was 10 when I first met Tim, he was 17. He was walking down to Mel Bacon’s pier in his “daisy dukes”. It was those summers we spent at Bacons that Tim became part of our lives - always helping, showing us what “lake life” was all about, teaching us those famous water “tricks” and laughing during the process. Fast forward Grandpa purchases a lake house and there was Tim helping or offering a tool whether it was for the pier, boats or snowmobiles. Life went on we all married and had children, but lake life remained the same and now Tim was helping, teaching, and encouraging the next generation. How many times I said, “Where are you going Kevin” his response, “Over to Uncle Tim’s he is going to help me fix my jet ski”. Just this past summer Kevin was laying on the Mastercraft floor and Tim was sitting in the back teaching him how to remove the impeller. His knowledge will surely be missed but Tim himself being the “good” person he was, his love of the lake and all the fun times we had together will be missed much, much, more.

Dearest Vanessa, we are so sorry for your loss and our loss. We are still in shock about Tim. We will miss him greatly. The laugh, the smile, the times over the years together. Great memories to last a lifetime. My favorite times were you, me and Gloria pulling Tim and Mike around the lake for hours in the Silverline. One of the funniest memories was when the two of them wanted to get up backwards, (on the tricks) heads down in the water, rear ends sticking out of the water, and we would not go. Tim would come up laughing so hard. All of our love to James, Jilly and all the family. Big Crooked will not be the same. There will never be another Tim Mummaw.
