I remember hunting with Mike many times, one that I really remember was when we were hunting geese at Witt Pond blind on the ice. Mike didn't think the decoys were set right, of course, lol. So he went our on the ice and the rest of us (Mike and Brian and I) watched from the blind. The next thing I know he fell through the ice!! I had my canoe behind the blind just in case, so I pushed it out next to him floating in the ice. He kept rolling on the ice until he got up on the edge of the canoe and I pulled him to safe ice. Luckily the trucks were parked right behind the blind, he jumped into the truck and headed for home. The kids and I were sick to our stomachs but happy we had saved him! There was a few times when he made me and John unhappy with him, I wish I wouldn't have, not really. We all loved him. I will miss the phone calls and all the cancelled duck hunts in his later years. We had great fun on our long distance duck hunts. He was a good man and I will miss him.
