Mike E. Henry, 76, of Dowagiac, passed away on Wednesday morning, May 22, 2024, at The Timbers of Cass County in Dowagiac.
He was born on August 19, 1947, in Watseka, IL, the son of Forrest F. and Christine E. (Brown) Henry. On November 17, 1967, he was united in marriage to Nancy K. Flippo.
In his younger years Mike enjoyed fishing and hunting with his sons and several friends. He loved watching his granddaughters' extra-curricular activities and his many conversations with Aiden about fishing and hunting. Mike was known for having a sense of humor and cracking jokes.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Nancy Henry; two sons – Michael (Kristi Kelly) Henry and Bryan (Shelly) Henry; three grandchildren – Haley, Emily and Aiden; three brothers – Wayne Henry, William (Roxellen) Henry and Jeffrey Henry; and several nieces and nephews.
Honoring Mike’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no public visitation or services. Arrangements were entrusted to Clark Chapel and Cremation Services, Dowagiac. Memorial contributions in Mike’s name may be directed to Dowagiac Athletics, 701 W. Prairie Ronde, Dowagiac, MI 49047.
