Margaret set a standard for ‘family’ that will extend for her and Dan’s future generations. She loved to love her family and it was easy to see. Her adventures were fun to follow, and her relationships reminded us all always of how to take care of our people. And I thought that she was one of the funniest people that I ever met. Pokagon people are lucky that she was Pokagon.

Aunt Margaret, the hostess with the mostest! Attending her family gatherings such as Easter & Christmas were the highlights of my childhood. Her house would be filled with abundance of love from grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. The walls bounced with echos of laughter.
From playing bored games, Easter egg hunts, and simply being within her presence was NEVER a dull moment.
I’m grateful to have experience her kind heart, and generosity. Her journey on earth is complete and now it’s time for her to guide her loved ones from the spirit world. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Bama Miné Aunt Margaret.

It always felt good to walk into an event or family gathering and see her sitting there. This summer she came to open sewing and sat by me and talked about the old days, when she was in elementary school still. I felt lucky to be able to hear about her life like that. I imagine she’s on the other side telling them stories about recent years now.

My deepest condolences to the family. I remember Margaret's kindness in helping me with a black ash basket. She was very patient and willing to share/give her knowledge to others. Just a beautiful soul and the impression she made was lasting. That afternoon she even walked my dog Sir Lancelot who had joined us at the workshop. RIP
