In Loving Memory of Kathy Casey Kathy Casey was a remarkable woman whose presence was truly larger than life. Her journey was one of resilience, love, and remarkable strength. After enduring cancer radiation therapy, Kathy faced the decline of her heart with the same bravery she exhibited throughout her life. In a turn of fate that speaks to the power of generosity and the interconnectedness of life, she received a 22-year-old heart from a young man who tragically passed away. This gift provided her with 25 more cherished years, during which she continued to inspire and touch the lives of those around her. Kathy's life was a testament to her passion and dedication. As president of the Wabigon Garden Club, she nurtured not only plants but also a community of garden enthusiasts, sharing her love for nature and beauty with everyone she met. Her professional journey included a significant tenure as a secretary at Dowagiac Union Schools, where she later transitioned into a stellar career in real estate. In every role, Kathy's commitment and warmth left a lasting impact. Above all, Kathy's heart was with her family. She adored her grandchildren, Connor and Colin, and cherished every moment spent with them. Her love for them was evident and unbounded, a beacon of joy and pride. The memory of her late husband, Dick, who preceded her in death by six months, remains a testament to their enduring love and partnership. Kathy is survived by her devoted son, Thomas, and his wife, Paula, who were blessed to have her as a guiding light in their lives. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her grandchildren, Connor and Colin, and the many family members and friends who were fortunate to know her. Kathy's life reminds us all of the incredible impact one person can have on the world. Her spirit, her dedication, and her love will forever be remembered and cherished by those who knew her. Rest in peace, Kathy Casey, and may your memories be blessed. Thank you for the beautiful memories and the lasting legacy you leave behind.

I will forever be grateful to Kathy as she trained and mentored me when I first started in real estate in January 1997. It was a pleasure to work alongside Kathy in the years we had together at Cressy & Everett. Kathy went through a lot during that time with her cancer diagnosis then heart transplant, always staying positive throughout. My prayers are with your family as you go through this time of grief and loss.

I had the pleasure of meeting Kathy when I worked as a caregiver for Dick I always enjoyed my conversations with Cathy and the good food she freely shared with me. I counted her as a wonderful friend and I enjoyed getting to know her during that short time zi was Dicks caregiver helping her to down load items on face market place that she wanted to sell and dragging around the garden hose to water her many beautiful flowers she had helping her keep track of her humming bird feeders. The last time I talked with her was after she had been admitted to the Timbers I had called her after finding out Dick had passed away We had a great conversation catching up. RIP Cathy I loved you.

Tom, Pam, Collin and Connor you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Kathy has a special place in my heart. She was such a kind, caring loving woman. I enjoyed seeing her at Mass and I spent time with her at Timbers taking her Holy Communion and praying with her. She is not suffering anymore and I know she is in the palm of Jesus hands. Hugs and Blessings!
