Kathy's Obituary
Kathy was born on March 22, 1945, in South Bend, Indiana, the daughter of William and Jean (Lamb) Krieg. On July 22, 1967, she married the love of her life, Richard “Dick” Casey in Dowagiac. Kathy was larger than life, loved to entertain and her energy could ignite any room. She lived for her grandsons and was deeply involved in their upbringing. Gardening and the Wabigon Garden Club was her favorite hobby. She was also actively involved in many community events and fundraisers as well as devote member of the Holy Maternity Catholic Church in Dowagiac.
Kathy is survived by her beloved son, Thomas (Paula) Casey; cherished grandsons, Connor and Colin Casey; brother – Michael (Julie) Krieg; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Dick Casey; her parents; and her three brothers, William Krieg, Richard Krieg and Thomas Krieg.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 18, at Holy Maternity of Mary Catholic Church, 210 N. Front St, Dowagiac with Fr. Joseph Abraham as celebrant. Interment for Kathy and Dick will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 8, at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, Michigan. The arrangements have been entrusted to Clark Chapel – Starks Family Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Dowagiac.
