I remember Mr D'Agostino from several visits to their home in Fairplain as a kid. We lived across the street from his in-laws, Mr & Mrs Sauerbier and I was just thrilled to death when Sue & Denise would visit their grandparents! Always so very very nice to me. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Mr. D was my driver's ed teacher in the late sixties. Such a nice man and so patient with his students. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing, but his was a life well-lived. My condolences to Mr. D's family.

My deepest condolences on the passing of this wonderful man. I was a shy middle schooler when I had Mr. D as a teacher. He called me Curly and made me feel special. He was one of my favorite teachers and I always did well in his class because I wanted him to be proud of me. You never forget an amazing teacher, and that was definitely Mr. D. I also live close to D’Agostino’s restaurant in Chicago and it always makes me think of him. A legend whose memory will live on.

While growing up and living on Smith Ct. in Benton Harbor, Hank was my neighbor 2 houses down. He was a nice, friendly guy and loved all the kids in the neighborhood. Always a smile and a kind word.

Mr. D was a fantastic teacher, coach, drivers ed instructor and mentor to more students than I can imagine. He taught me to drive in 1982 and somehow kept his hair in the process! We had a lot of fun together and developed a friendship that lasted well beyond his working years right to the end and I cherished that greatly and I know he did too! He was a kind and funny man who'd give you the shirt off his back if you needed it! Always a great conversationalist on any subject you'd care to bring up, he was never short on words of wisdom, input or advice if asked for or needed. I will forever carry his memory in my heart and pray his lovely wife, Janice finds peace in his memories as she carries on without him by her side! RIP my dear friend Hank, you will be greatly missed!
