Daniel's Memory Wall
We encourage you to share your most beloved memories of Daniel here, so that the family and other loved ones can always see it. Share your favorite stories or comment on those shared by others.
We last saw Danny in July at my father's memorial. When I said good- bye my last words were we've GOT to get together this summer. Most bitter last words ever spoken. He grew into his role as head of the "blueberry wing" of the Hartmann family so calmly, so inevitably with such competence and grace, it's hard to remember him not being there. But he isn't here and we grieve his absence - his loss is not only to Donna but to all of us who hadn't realized how much we loved him and will always keep him in our prayers, thoughts, and in the countless fond memories of fun on the farm with him.

Please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of Danny. I will always remember his positive attitude, his leadership and his sense of humor. It was always a pleasure to work with Danny and his father Patrick. Danny always gave great advice and showed me that anyone can accomplish anything if they put their mind to it. My thoughts are with Donna and### family during this difficult time.

Donna and all of Danny's family allow me to express my most sincere condolences on Danny's passing. This has really caught me off base, I would never have expected it. I very seldom ever got to see Danny, but when I did he was always one of the most upbeat people I have have ever known. We all could definitely take a page from his book on life. He was one of good guys and will leave a void in the lives of those who had the honor of knowing him.

Your loving husband had a lasting affect on my nieces and nephews. Every time I came over they would tell me about Moondog. Your husband lived the scripture βLove your neighbor as yourself.β May God give you comfort during this difficult time.

Our deepest condolences to the Hartmann family. Weβve purchased blueberry bushes from Mr. Hartmann for the last several years and have enjoyed his wonderful smile and courteous hospitality. Danβs willingness to share his expert knowledge was greatly appreciated, Laura & Paul

25 years ago, Danny helped a boy with his science fair project, tissue culturing jersey blueberries.
He inspired that boy to pursue a career not just as a blueberry farmer, but in the science of blueberries.
Today I work for Berry Blue Plant Genetics, get to travel the world, evaluate blueberries and grow tens of thousands of unique plants.
Thankful myself and my team were able to visit you again just a few months ago.
And thank you for the impact you've had on my life.
