To the Hutson family.... So sorry to hear this news. Chuck was a good guy with a long history of coaching, including the girls golf team I now coach. Even though he was retired, he still supported the girls. Thanks for everything, Chuck. Barry Shanley

My sympathy to the family of Chuck. It was always a pleasure to substitute for Chuck, as his plans were always complete. I enjoyed seeing him out walking or at senior center picking up our wayward Pickleball shots. As a smile and a ready hello! He will be missed.

So very sad to hear of Chuck's passing. He was my first friend coming to Manistee in 4th grade at Washington School. We played a lot of baseball at Duffy field and were close friends for many years. Recently, he made a point to come watch our granddaughter's softball games at Lake Michigan College to support our friendship. What a great guy and what a loss.

He will always be Mr. Hutson to me. My very first high school math teacher. He gave us freshmen a word of advice at the end of the year. He told us that after all our friends had signed our year books to go back and write last names next to their signatures. He told us that even though we think we won't forget... to just trust him! Of course he was right. I loved when he worked at Family Video and I could visit with him. He taught my 2 oldest children to golf too. Just an all around fantastic man. Rest in heaven Mr. Hutson!
