Bernie was a great man, one of the smartest I've known. I learned so much from him during the years I was blessed to work with him, lessons I still use today. I can definitely say he made a difference; not everyone does. I'm saddened by his loss and will be praying for those he left behind.

My condolences to the Benson family. I am Bernt's cousin. I have memories of Bernt (never knew him as "Bernie") as a boy and a teenager. He was always upbeat, always active, and always friendly. As I read these condolences I am impressed with what a fine man he became. He came from a great family and he created his own great family. I will miss the knowledge that he is still with us.

Dawn and Family- Although it has been some time since we've seen Bernie, we remember him fondly from the time we worked together at Palisades, along with family functions.
