To the Filbrandt family,

I was saddened to learn about the passing of your mom upon my return home this weekend. There isn't enough room here to express all of my feelings but I just have to say that I have so many great memories over the years of going to the Filbrandt home during my high school years. Mom Filbrandt always affectionately referred to me as Deano. I felt like one of the family when I was around them. Many an evening was spent there after basketball games and other school activities. The whole family was close and the Filbrandt family is so very well respected in the community. I always stopped by in the summer and spent some time or called when I was in town to "check in." Always a kind word of appreciation for staying in touch. I'm sorry I wasn't there to pay my respects but hopefully my words will convey what Mrs. Filbrandt and the whole family have meant to me over the years. God bless you.
