I just wanted to express my sympathy about Janet's passing. She was lucky to have such a supportive husband and children who connected with her closely. My favorite thing about Janet was her laugh and her voice when she got excited. Her voice raised to such high octaves at these times that one couldn't help but laugh with her. Much love to you all. Nat and I are thinking about you and are sorry we can't be there for the memorial service.

Tanya and family: I am saddened to hear about the passing of Mrs. Thomas. I first met her when Tanya and I graduated from college and had the pleasure of spending time with Mrs. Thomas and the family last summer. I remember being very humbled by her perspective on life and her ability to keep going even when she didn't feel like she could anymore. I will always smile at the memory of showing her how to get captions on her tv so she wouldn't have to have the volume up so loud :) She had a kind spirit and while she will truly be missed here on earth, I'm sure my own mother will enjoy her company in the spirit realm. Take care, Thomas family! You are in my thoughts and prayers.....With love, Lisa

Art & family, donna & I are very saddened about this terrible news. But, I know, as do you, that Janet's struggle is over. She will await us to join her in the eternal and joyful life of the glorious kingdom of God; where sickness and loss like this will be a faint memory. May the eternal God of love and joy comfort your hearts. Love, Briscoe & Donna

Gina and family, I only met her maybe twice, but from what I could tell she was a great mom. I hope that now that her suffering is over you are able to keep close memories of happier times and find your own peace with her passing.

From the first time I met Janet she was always a kind outgoing person. She came to my house for a cottage meeting, was a gracious guest and followed up with a thank you card. Every time after that visit she went out of her way to extend friendship and a kind word to my husband and myself. Recently we have been going through some tough times, and Janet, eventhough she has struggled so for the last few years, made a point of approaching us and telling us we were in her thoughts and prayers. What a kind and gentle lady. It was a privilege to have known her. Brenda and Marc Bertorelli

Art, Tanya, Gina, Jason and Greg - we want to send to you our love for you all and our sorrow for your mom's passing. Janet had such determination in everything that she undertook to accomplish. I have alway had such an addmiration for her writing ability, something I used to tell her I desired to do but could not fathom how to begin. She loved that you, Gina, had such a great skill at writing. She was so proud of each one of you children. The last time we got together she shared in detail what each of you was doing and she was so proud of your accomplishments. You have chosen such diverse careers and are doing so well....that meant everything to her! She was very confident in her relationship with each of you knowing how much she was loved and well looked after by you. We look forward to seeing you next week and sharing in the "Memorial" of Janet. Love, Rhonda

Uncle Art, Tanya, Gina, Jason and Greg, our thoughts are with you at the loss of your wife and mother. Aunt Janet was a great example of perseverance and having a positive outlook in the face of very difficult situations. Even though she was not feeling well for so long, she always made a point to reach out to others and be interested and supportive of their lives and activities like traveling all the way to attend an anniversary event in Chicago and being so excited about our coming baby. I appreciate her example of outward focus on others and her determination, and want you to know that she will be missed. Our thoughts will be with you in the upcoming weeks.

Dearest family, may our Lord and Saviour be with you at this time. You all know our love for Janet and for you over the years. We thank God he has a plan that is bigger than this life. Janet has gone on to that peace now spoken of in Isaiah 57:1-2. We know to be absent from this body, is to be present with the Lord and that is all our desire. Janet loved so deeply and gave so much of herself. She was very special to a lot of folks and was a blessing to many. We thank God for blessing us to have her in our lives, however short that may seem. We pray for God's comfort and strength to be with each of you as you adjust to this great loss. God bless and keep you all. We love you.

Art, Tanya, Gina, Jason and Greg: Janet had so much faith and courage. I thank God that I had the opportunity of visiting her before her passing away. See still had her wonderful sense of humor and great smile. We will meet again in the Kingdom and she will probably have her personality book out trying to see what type of personality you are. She was my friend of and I will miss her.
