Mrs. Skuza was my Sunday School teacher. I remember her teaching our class about the Lord's prayer. One time she sent me something in the mail. I do not remember what it was that she sent me, but the envelope had a very pretty stamp on it that said, "God is love." I kept that stamp for many years because it was so pretty and it reminded me of this special teacher who was so loving, kind, and gentle. In 2004,our family began participating in a chapel service two Sundays per month at South Haven Nursing and Rehab. I felt very blessed to be able to bring her to our service, which consists mostly of hymn-singing. In a very small way, I was thankful for the opportunity to minister to her spirit during this time of her life, when her body and mind were failing. On occasion in our service, I would be encouraged to see her mouthing the words to the hymns. She attended a time of singing on Christmas Eve, and she joined us as we sang then. She holds a special place in my heart, and I am thankful for her life.

Barry and Family, I just heard about Mrs. Skuza and wish to offer my sincere condolences. We used to spend summers in South Haven at the little cottage on West St. Mrs. Skuza was always so kind and friendly and invited me to several birthday parties she had at your house in the summertime, for a visiting niece. Please know that she will be kept in our thoughts and prayers. Take care.
