Dear Owens Family, I am deeply saddened to hear about the loss of Ben. I will always remember seeing him playing soccer with my brother Frankie in Canton. He always had such a smile. My thoughts and prayers are with your family during this most difficult. Dr. Owens you were there for our family when my brother arrived at Oakwood upon being brought out from the fire and you helped us. You helped my dad in the hospital and that was very appreciated. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for your family. Sincerely, Kathy Giorgi

To the Owen Family, I am so sorry to hear about the death of Ben. We were blessed to know Ben as a preschooler at Dearborn Heights Montessori. My daughter (Krysta Domber)and Ben played together. If memory serves correctly, I think they enjoyed playing with "He-Man" and "Skeletor" at your house. Didn't he have Skeletor's Castle??? Krysta thought that was very cool. She always had a blast during those playdates. They were buddies back then. Debbie, I was also in nursing school at HFCC during that time and we would talk about nursing. I think you were even a clinical instructor at HFCC. You were a great help and inspiration to me. Thanks. Anyways, Krysta let me know yesteday about Ben's passing and I wanted to let you know that people are thinking of you and your family during this terribly difficult time. He was a great kid and I am sure will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. God Bless. Marianne(Domber) MacDonald

John and Debbie...I can't express enough my sincerest condolences. I don't know the circumstances nor does it matter, but having lost a grandaughter I can only say that life is not the three part harmony we used to sing in the shower. My prayers are with you both as you'll wonder why the rest of the world continues to function as if nothing happened. I know there's nothing I can say to alleviate your sorrow, I just hope you find strength in each other and family. Again, my condolences and best wishes....Jim Archer

Hi Guys, When Jon and I found out...we were both so sad. We love you guys so much and are praying for your family. I talked to Emily's childhood friend Hope she told me that whenever she was sad Ben was there to make her smile...he was always so happy. You taught us all the meaning of a real family and we will never forget having dinner with you or playing dress up in the basement. I know there is nothing I can say to ease the pain, but I told Emily that one of the verses that has really comforted me in my time of loss, is Provers 3:5. I hope you find as much comfort in this verse as I have. Love and Hugs, Ash and Jon
