Benjamin Owens, 29, of South Haven passed away on Tuesday, September 2 at Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn.
He was born February 13, 1979 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to John C. and Deborah A. (Drozdowski) Owens. Benjamin graduated from Divine Child High School in Dearborn, Michigan. He then obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in communications and video production with Honors from Purdue University. Benjamin worked in developing pod casts for the nanotechnology department at Purdue University.
He is husband of Emily Clair (Zuhl) Owens. Father of – Zoey Marie Owens. Son of Dr. John C. and Deborah A. Owens. Brother of Becky (Owens) & Todd DePaulis and Emily Grace Owens. Grandson of the late Walter L. & Audrey (Mathis) Owens, and the late Bill J. & Veronica (Esper) Deozdowski. Son-in-law of David & Cherly (Zick) Zuhl. Nephew of Walter A. & Vicki (Garrison) Owens, Cindi (Drozdowski) Esper and Kevin & Lisa (Drozdowski) Everhart.
Family will greet friends Saturday, September 6 at 2:00 P.M. at the Kirby Church 2772 Will Carleton Rd. in Flat Rock, Michigan
Visitation will be Sunday, September 7 from 3 – 6 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday at 11:30 A.M. at the First Baptist Church of South Haven with Pastor Jerry Koller & Pastor Jim Gray officiating. Burial will take place at Lakeview Cemetery in South Haven. Memorial contributions can be made to Emily and Zoey Owens at 225 Broadway St. STE PMB #101 South Haven, Michigan 49090.
