Dear Stephenson family,

My deepest sympathy to all of you. I got to know your father through St. Basil's. He was always ready with a smile, a greeting, it's nice to see you. His kindness went out to even those he didn't know. He would pick up parishioners who needed a ride to church never asking for anything in return. I remember him attending Stations of the Cross during Lent and he would tell me how much he missed his wife. Your father more than once helped carry the cross at our Good Friday service. This was an honor to him. His faithfulness and his quiet, gentle presence will be greatly missed.

May you blessed with the peace of his memories in the time to come. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Bernard was and will always be a great friend. I will think of him often. Back in 1993 he was my cleaning supervisor when I worked for South Haven Public Schools. He was the one that I could always go to for questions and answers. May God Bless all of Bernards family and friends. I look forward to the soon coming day of our Lord Jesus Christ who is able to bring Bernard and many others back to life again where we can all be one big happy family.

I am so sorry to learn about the passing away of your father and my cousin, Bernard. Please rest assured that my prayers are with you during this difficult time. We all look forward to the resurrection as brought out at John 5:28, 29 which reads: "Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out."
