Bernard's Obituary
Bernard R. Stephenson,74, of South Haven died at Tuesday, December 23 at home.
He was born March 29, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois to Mary (Tyler) and Raymond Stephenson. Bernard served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Bernard married Dorothea Hooper on July 25, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois. Bernard worked as a custodian in South Haven Public Schools for many years. Bernard enjoyed traveling.
He was a member of St. Basil Catholic Church.
He is preceded in death along with his parents by wife – Dorothea who died in 1997. One brother – Julius Stephenson and one sister – Bertha Addison
He is survived by his two sons and three daughters – Bernadine Hawkins of Memphis, Tennessee, Trnee Ambrose of Las Vegas, Nevada, Dawn Stephenson of Las Vegas, Nevada, Raymond Stephenson of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Bernard Stephenson of Ventura, California. Seven grandchildren. Also surviving is his partner, Mary Webb.
Visitation will be from 9:30 – 10:30 on Tuesday, Dec. 30, at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 A.M. at St. Basil Catholic Church with Rev.
