He and I first really got to know each other after I lost my girlfriend Kathy Scarry and he had lost his wife. We met after a service at the Napier Parkview Baptist Church. I had remembered him from the YMCA in Benton Harbor. It was not much latter he was in the local paper running on the beach :) I took him to the visitation for Herb Riemers a passed handball player in Jan 2020.. Bill and I both used the equipment at the Senior Center outdoor exercise area 12 months a year thru out the Covid and continuing after that on weekends I'll never forget him as one of the handball players and him exercising as he was in his 90s. I wish his family well.

I am saddened to hear of Bill's passing. I work at the St. Joseph-Lincoln Senior Service Center and Bill was a regular on our transportation to and from the Center. He loved working out in the Circuit Training Room. Before heading into the Circuit Training Room, he would stop by my office and we'd have a nice chat. He shared a lot of stories with me and sometimes would sing. He was loved by many here at the Center, and he'll be missed.
