Dear Linda, Celeste, and Daniel - sincere condolences on your loss. When I saw him on occasion at LMC elementary school, I always thought "Mr. Wainright" was an imposing guy, but in the best way. Reading about his accomplishments, interests, and contributions shows that he left an admirable legacy. Peace and prayers to all of you.

I first met Terry when he was hired as a Claims Representative. It was a friendship that has lasted more than 40 years, though the last 15 years, it has been through FB posts. During the late 70s, there was often a get together after work on Friday night for "happy hour". One night, I got a little too "happy" and Terry went out of his way to follow me home from Benton Harbor to St Joe before driving back home to BH. That is just one example of his caring personality. My husband is a MSU graduate and as a surprise, I purchased tickets for a football game - as game time approached, my husband refused to go as the team had a losing record. I called Terry and we met in East Lansing and went to the game. It was the last game of the season, during a November snowy day. We froze in the stands but cheered on the Spartans and they won. There are hundreds of other memories. Rest in peace, my friend. Your work on earth is done.
