Linda and family, we’re sorry to hear that you lost your dear husband, father, grandfather. We have many warm memories of Terry and your family at First United Methodist as we were raising our families. I remember running into Terry and Ed Slate as I was in the hospital lobby headed in to have our son Brady. It was a chance encounter but so comforting to see his face there. He had an impact full of grace. Our sincere condolences.

Linda and family, just letting you know that I will have you all in my prayers and thoughts. Enjoyed Terry when he was minister at Faith , in Bridgman.

Over 20 years ago, Terry led a small group of us in a weekly Bible Study that was to initially take one year, and we slowed his planned lessons down so much that he graciously offered to take us on for two years (thank you to very patient Linda and wonderful kids!). That wasn't because Terry was a poor leader - that's because he was a GREAT leader, and fired our curiosity to know more and to go deeper and to understand as much as humans can of a massively complex holy book. I'm a teacher - and I recognize and deeply respect the passion that drives someone to become a really good one. We differed in ideas but never in the passion to teach them. I learned so much from Terry - my highest compliment.

Linda and family,
Terry and I had many discussions and shared stories while I was full time Cafe person at Senior Service in South Haven. His quiet, gracious and loving presence will be missed by many. So very sorry to hear of your loss. Enjoy your memories keeping you all in prayer.
