I remember as a child , my family, visiting Sonny and Dee. We always enjoyed the visits. He and my Dad knew each other from school days. I remember my dad telling stories about how they would drag race cars. I meant to stop in to visit Sonny and Dee last summer when I was back visiting, but I didn’t get there. Now more than ever I know the meaning of the saying “Don’t put off until tomorrow what you can do today “ He will be missed.

I remember picking up Cathy in High School for a formal dance, corsage in hand as I rang the doorbell. Sonny (Mr. Friske at the time) answered the door to thoroughly eyeball this kid that was dating his daughter. And, mind you I wasn’t short. I not only always had respect for him and Dee, I considered them sarrogate parents especially after my folks passed away 15 years ago. God’s speed Dad! and Little Mom, I love you.

Mrs. Friske, Cathy, and entire family: Hugs and prayers as you process life without his physical presence. What a presence he had. I remember, in younger years, playing at your house and being "afraid" of him. Then the teen years and he didn't seem so scarry. Then the later years. What a joy to spend time having dinner and being so welcomed by both Mr. and Mrs. Friske. (No I don't think I will ever be able to call them Dee and Sonny) His affection and love for the cat. I even got a hug. I will cherish that time. Memories are not the only thing to hold onto. Hold onto one another. Share stories as He will live on in how he influenced each life he touched. Gone from physical form. Never gone from influence and heart. Condolences
