I, Pastor Marvin Hunter and the entire family of the Grace Memorial Baptist Church, send our deepest condolences to the family of Sister Ruthie Christian, in the passing of your beloved mother, sister, and grandmother. We know that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. We pray that you continue to find comfort in the word of the Lord and to stand in faith that your beloved is walking in heaven, with Jesus and other loved ones who have gone on before. Know that it's ok to cry but we encourage you to do not cry as people without hope but know that God will forever be with you now and forever. You are in our prayers 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Grace Memorial Baptist Church

Sis. Christian along with her late husband, Deacon Fred Christian and their family, were an intricate part of our Grace Memorial Baptist Church family, in Chicago, IL. Sis. Christian was the President of the Pastor's Aide Ministry and served in that capacity for several years. Through here, elegant banquets at beautiful venues, were implemented. She also was responsible for ensuring that the Pastor/1st Lady ( my parents), went on weekend excursions. She was also the godmother of my only son. Sis. Christian was a loving, caring, hard working, straight forward, smart and beautiful (inside and out) WOG, who will be greatly missed.
