I was very sad to hear of Ron's passing. I was on my way to Alabama for a week of golfing. I played golf with Ron in golf league, and worked with him at Sundstrand for 36 years. I

Our sympathy goes out to all the family and close friends of Ron. Lots of good memories of baseball games … in all kinds of weather! We all became a “baseball family” over the years.

We have wonderful memories of Ron and Diane that we treasure. We spent a lot of time together when our children were young. Unfortunately as our children grew and life took us in different directions we didn’t see them as often but we always considered them family. We are so thankful that we have those memories.

I have the best memories of Ron First growing up. When my dad was too busy to give me any attention at the ballpark, I could always count on Ron to have a conversation with me, even though he was busy himself, keeping the books. He would offer up a couple pieces of Bazooka gum, and hook me up with the McDonald’s orange drink in the dugout. On the weekends, my parents would eat dinner with Ron and Diane at Lindy’s, and he would find a way to sneak my brother and I quarters for the video games, well after our parents would cut us off. I remember him telling stories about meeting Diane when they were teenagers, and how she had a poodle skirt and a pony tail. He told me that she would set his clothes out for him every morning before work, and I couldn’t believe that it was true. Diane would proudly confirm it to me. They were an impeccable pair, and they truly complimented and loved each other. I can only imagine that they are having the perfect reunion right now. All of our love, thoughts, and prayers go out to Jody, Jamie, and their families at this time.
