Sitting here today remembering one of my earliest and happy memories of quinnie——use to love staying overnight at their home cause of the “ good food” but especially when Quinnie worked the graveyard shift on the railroad and when he got off work would stop by the St Joe doughnut shop that was just taking their first batch out of the oven—- the box was still warm when he arrived home and everyone would wake up with the smell and head to the kitchen😍—-warm doughnuts and cold milk still a favorite treat for me but the doughnuts never as good as those that quinnie brought home in those early morning hours‼️
