We lived across the street from Jean for about eight years. What a sweet lady! She always had cookies for the kids, and I enjoyed many long talks with her. She would tell us about the trips she went on with her sister. She also gave us very thoughtful gifts. We will miss her.

Mrs. Dyrcz, was an amazing and wonderful woman, she was my kindergarten teacher’s aid in 78-79! She had such a way of being comforting and encouraging! Kindergarten was an extremely hard grade for me, she made it bearable! She always remembered me when we would bump into each other over the years and she had such a special way about her that made me feel special. To her friends and family, I am truly sorry for your loss and send you my deepest condolences 💐

Jean was a regular customer; I was always so happy to see her come in to the office. We had so many lively chats. Such a character. :) I am deeply saddened to learn that she has passed. I hope that she and my Mom meet up in Heaven. Sincere condolences to her family, you've lost a Gem. Godspeed, Jean!

Jean you’ll be missed by so many. We loved you dearly. Our family had so many good years together. Losing my folks was hard. Losing you has really hit hard. Give mom and dad big hugs. You’re all together now. Love and miss you.

Mrs Norma was a great person she helped my sister when she was in preschool back in 2001 she will be greatly missed.

Jean was a wonderful co-worker. She helped a lot of students and staff during her time at Decatur Public Schools. My heartfelt sympathy to her family.
