Michael's Memory Wall
We encourage you to share your most beloved memories of Michael here, so that the family and other loved ones can always see it. Share your favorite stories or comment on those shared by others.
I had the honor of working with Mike for about a year at Dust Furniture. Mike always had a smile on his face and a willingness to teach and help others that was incomparable. I worked alongside him in shipping (where he took the time to explain the how's and why's) and we shared many stories and laughs. Mike's presence was uplifting. He had a way of lifting your mood and your spirit that was unforgettable. Mike talked about his wife and kids with the utmost love and respect; his family and his faith were most important to him. I remember Mike taught me how to drive a forklift for the first time. If I wasn't comfortable maneuvering something, he always came over and took on the task with complete presicion. I didn't know Mike for more than a year, but in the time I did get to know him, he taught me so much. It was an honor knowing Mike and even if only for a short time, I'm grateful that he was part of my life. He will be missed greatly. My prayers are with his family during this time. Rest easy, my friend.

I have many memories of competing with Mike either on the softball field or the volleyball court. Mike was such a good guy with a heart for the Lord.

We don't expect to have to write these words, especially about someone we grew up with. My deepest sypathy to the Gifford family. Mike was a good man and great friend. He will be sorely missed.

Linda and family, So sad to hear the news on Monday. Mike was such a great person and my friend. When visiting Oakridge, he was always there to give me a welcome hug. We will miss him but Heaven sure gained a treasure.
