John 's Memory Wall
We encourage you to share your most beloved memories of John here, so that the family and other loved ones can always see it. Share your favorite stories or comment on those shared by others.
Ole was one of the best of us! As a teammate and classmate of the class of MSHS John lead us on the football defensively to an undefeated season from his linebacker position. Not only taking charge physically on the field, but mentally. When he spoke he motivated us to action. His quick wit, kind soul and whimsical yet tenacious temperament was ever present as he exemplified leaving it all on the field or wrestling mat. His success in life was nurtured by his never tiring strong work ethic.
He was a joy to spend time with and would always crack me up with that big wide smile that I would knock his ears off.
That twinkle in his eyes is now to be beamed down from the stars above. I am truely sorrowed by his departure from the huddle of his loved ones and offer my sincerest condolences to you and yours. He will be missed dearly.

John was a very special professional and friend over the past 40 years as he designed and oversaw numerous projects for several of our local communities. You are missed my friend. Rest in peace.

Andrew and I were in the same graduating class at Lakeshore and played both travel and HS soccer together. After my freshman year of college, I was looking for a summer internship in engineering and it just so happened that Andrew's dad was part of an engineering firm. That little summer internship turned into me changing my major from mechanical to civil engineering, continuing to work at Merritt Engineering throughout college and then working another several years as a full time engineer(12 in all). John almost always had a smile. The best work memories I have are from working that job alongside John, Larry, Rob and Jeff. I hope they'd be proud of the engineer I've become. You'll be missed John.

No child ever had a better friend, and first one at that. John will always hold a special place in my heart.

John, thank you for sharing your talents, and assistance in the many land development projects
we did together through out Berrien County. And enjoying an aged scotch, as we discussed life, at the yacht club.
