Joan's Memory Wall
We encourage you to share your most beloved memories of Joan here, so that the family and other loved ones can always see it. Share your favorite stories or comment on those shared by others.
By the time I received the paper and saw the announcement, everything was over. I am very sorry to hear of Joan's passing. Joan always had a smile for everyone and that big throaty laugh. She was so easy to talk to. She loved her boys, her family and grandchildren, all her kids at school, and the hundreds of furry friends she tried to save. She was a one person rescue mission. She was a strong, determined woman, but was fair and had a big heart. Joan had a big impact on all the hundreds of student and teachers who came to her library. She helped change lives for the better including those furry friends. My thoughts to the Belew family. Very sorry I missed being there.

Just heard of her passing. What good lady, she will be missed for sure. For her boys you had a great mother, cherish the memories that you created with your mother. Stay strong.
