Knowing Janine was a gift! Having the privilege of working with her early in my career formed me, challenged me, and inspired me. Developing a friendship with her through those years was such a gift! I am thankful for the encouragement and support that friendship provided even after she retired. She was a favorite among teachers for my boys and my daughter was heartbroken that she retired before she got to third grade. I am so saddened to not get one more conversation with her, but so thankful for the many that we had. Praying for you, Peter & Billy and you navigate life without this precious woman beside you. ❤️

I had the privilege to teach with Janine for many years at Three Oaks Elementary School. She was such a wonderful teacher, and the children loved her kind and caring ways. She was so devoted to her husband and son and talked about them all the time. In the past few years I would always see her at Meijer shopping and she always stop and talk and visit. She was such a lovely lady inside and out. My thoughts and prayers are with her entire family and all her friends at this difficult time.
