My kids always called Jim "the candy man." At Sunday breakfasts he would always have candy bars for them. He was always so kind. A wonderful man and patriot.

When I was working at the Legion seeing Jim always made me have a good day. He always made sure we were doing okay. My kids always remembered that he would buy them candy bars and when I was working he always bought candy for any kid that came through. Always will be grateful for all Jim did for his fellow veterans. Rest In Peace Jim.

I'll never forget Uncle Jim thoroughly enjoying my New Orleans wedding, especially the police escort to the church and venue! He always made me laugh. In all of my memories, he was always laughing and joking around. Lots of love to the entire family. Xo

Linda, was Jim the same James Montgomery who was in the South Haven class of 1961? It is hard to tell by comparing the senior picture. Also, he was born in 1938, which makes him about 5 years older than the rest of us.
