I am so saddened to hear about Jack's passing. I was thinking about him today and found this sad news. I had the opportunity of flying around with Jack for many many years. He was a man that always was proud to look impeccable and so kind. We had many great laughs on the jet and he will be missed.

I am very saddened by Jack’s passing. I worked as part of his Team for about five years. I liked him personally because he was self confident, funny, and he made everyone feel like a part of the Team. I also liked him as a boss, because he was a great leader, who could see opportunities first and farther out than others and his ability to deliver business results made an extraordinary combination. On top of that, he was a humble leader, who knew how to build a team. Furthermore, he knew how to build a lasting Team. After so many years, we are still in contact and we cherish each other’s company. When I look back, Jack was probably one of the best bosses that I have ever had. He had such a positive influence on me. An example of this is that after returning from one of his frequent business trips, he followed a ritual of walking the hallways and stopping at each person’s desk to see how things were going. Reflecting back, he was a great “incidental mentor”. I say incidental because he led by example. I am glad I was able to learn from him. He had great judgment and excellent common sense. God bless him! Patricia Gooden

I had to pleasure of meeting Jack & Jan years ago when Jack placed his mom (Raina) at Woodland Terrace Assisted Living in Bridgman. I bonded with Jack's mom from the very beginning! This started a bond with Jack & Jan as well. I consider them family after all these years. You could not ask for better folks to be "family" with. I then got the opportunity to take care of Vera, Jan's mother at Woodland Terrace in Coloma. What a treat she was!! It was about 4 years ago, when Jack called me and had a few questions regarding our facility for himself. This was difficult for me to know that Jack too; was needed assisted living. I made fond memories with Jack residing at Woodland Terrace. It is a special / private joke between Jack & I, but he will forever be my "Captain" & I will forever be his "Tennille" I miss you already! My love & condolences go out to Jan & family
