Gladys's Obituary
Gladys Lillian Taylor went to be with her Lord, December 11, 2024. She was born in Stevensville, Ml to Elizabeth Pearl Pallas Kolberg and Walter August Kolberg on November 30, 1929.
In 1948, she married Frank Lowe Snyder with whom they had three children, Cheryl Ann, Judy Kay and Kevin Lee. Mr. Snyder passed Aug, 11, 1969. She later married Raymond Taylor on June 15, 1974. Raymond passed Feb.17, 1999.
In 1994, she and Ray moved to Comanche, OK where they raised cattle and horses. In 2001, Gladys moved back to Ml eventually living in St. Joe.
Gladys loved to travel, polka and garden. Her travels lead her to Spain where she saw bull fights, to Mexico, Bahamas, Africa, where she rode a camel, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, and many of the United States.
She was active in the Bridgman American Auxiliary in which she served as president and secretary of the 4th district.
Gladys was very artistic, creating quilts, pictures, doing jigsaw puzzles, and word puzzles, making ceramic figures and paintings. When her girls were young, she would sew many of their clothes. Gardening was her love as could be seen in her pristine, colorful, weed free gardens. She decorated both inside and out with frogs which gave her the nick name "frog lady."
Gladys spent a great deal of time on her back porch relaxing on the swing. There she enjoyed the beauty of her gardens and watching the birds. She referred to this space as her "little bit of heaven."
She was a friend and guiding light to many. She will be missed by her friends and family.
Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Frank Lowe Snyder and her second Raymond Taylor, brothers Ronald Lee Kolberg and Raymond Kolberg, a sister Caroline Pivonka and a son Kevin Lee Snyder.
