Victoria, Paul, and Tommy, We were sorry to hear of your loss. Your mother was such a wonderful part of the many lives that she touched. Eliza has shared stories with me of the great neighborhood, and how open all the families houses were. I was fortunate to have met your family, and bulild a lot of memories. Classic Drugstores forever. Elza and Gordon

Thank you so much for those kind words, Gordon and Eliza. We had such a special neighborhood growing up - the horseshoe north of the SJHS. We were indeed blessed by growing up in such a nurturing place. And how great it was to have several family pharmacies in town to boot. A different world that many will never know.

When I first moved to St Joseph, Gillespie Drugs and Trudy Gillespie were a touchstone reminding me of home and providing a connection to the community that grounded me. Over the years, we came to know many of the Gillespie family's through different routes - work, school, getting file developed through Gillespie's, shared loss. This family represents to a member, the best St Joseph has to offer. And we love each and every one of you and grieve with you while celebrating Trudy and all the good she represents. Some of my best memories are chatting with Trudy over the counter at Gillespies and our family has shared many happy and sad moments. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Peg, Al, Matt and family.

Vickie, I'm so sorry to hear about your Mom. I remember the Halloween party at your house. She talked me into putting my hand in the bowl of "eyeballs". I was grosses out but did it any way. It was always so nice seeing her in church on Sundays. Prayers for you and your brothers.

Victoria, I am so sorry for your loss. I wish I could express my sympathy in person, however, I have a work person coming to my house Sat. A.m. so I must be home. You were able to enjoy your mother for a long time. What a blessing. May all your fond memories bring you comfort. Ginny

I have so many memories of growing up two doors down from Mrs. G. She and Mr. G were truly substitute grandparents for me, and for that I am very lucky. Much love to all the Gillespies.
