Uncle David was my very warm and kind uncle. I will always remember him as a very loving person with a very positive attitude any time I was around him. His ability to tell a joke, converse about anything, praise the good, and warn about the bad was a gift that no other adults I met growing up could ever match. He will always and forever be remembered by his nephew, Charlie. Love you Uncle Dave. May God bless your soul. We will meet again. Charles E. Jack IV, Las Vegas, NV

Dear Clare and family, So very sorry to hear about Dave’s passing! What a wonderful guy! He was always so much fun to talk to and so enjoyed his positive attitude! He will be missed by so many! Love and peace as you make the journey without your love by your side! Loved watching, the love between you, two. Hugs, Andrea and Pilar Leon

Dear Claire and family. I am sorry to see that Dave had passed. It is a great picture of him with his smile. It brought back many memoires from our life at church in St Joseph. My thoughts are with you in this new phase of your life. Lynn T. Rayle, Jr. Midland, MI

Clare and family, I’m so sorry about Dave’s passing. I will not be able to attend the visitation and funeral today because of a heart procedure. I worked with Dave for many years and I enjoyed working with him. The thing said about him as a funeral director in the obituary are so correct, as well as the other things about him. I thought more of him as friend than a co worker. Our thoughts and prayers to you. Ron and Jane Willit

I've only met Dave a couple of times because I know Clare, but he certainly had all of the characteristics described in the obituary. He was kind, generous, and I especially appreciated his sense of humor and the smile that was always on his face. Clare, you and your family are in my heart and prayers.

Dear Clare and family, Dave will always be a bright, happy memory for me. I loved spending my childhood with you two as great family friends. I remember Dave trying to teach me to waterski and saving that (now) one legged seagull. Sending you love and strength.

Clare and family, A friend called us the night his five year old son was killed in a horrific home accident. He asked that we come to be with him. I had no idea what to say or how to act in such a difficult situation. I called Dave, friend and fellow Rotarian. Dave gave us great advise that that not only helped us but our grieving friend. I have never forgotten that. Dave just had an understanding of people and life. He always seemed happy and was able to immediately spread that feeling to everyone around him. I am sad. Dave was one of the good guys for certain. He will be missed. Our condolences to all his family. Dan and Sharon Deja

Clare, Dan, Marnie, Bobbie & Family you are in my thoughts and prayers. I have such great memories of Dave that I will carry forever. He was a wonderful person and so funny! I am especially thankful for his loyal friendship to my mom (and Randy) through the years. I will always smile when I think of Dave. May God's grace cover and comfort you in the days to come.
