Daniel 's Memory Wall
We encourage you to share your most beloved memories of Daniel here, so that the family and other loved ones can always see it. Share your favorite stories or comment on those shared by others.
John worked with Dan at the Sheriffs Department, then I worked with Danny at the courthouse. He always had a smile, and a greeting. He made me feel cared about whenever I ran into him. Reading his obituary really hit me. I had no idea about the childhood he had. Never would have guessed as he was such a great person. We are so very sorry for your loss.

I miss Dan's friendly wave as he made his daily walk around the block. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, Karen.

Karen and family, I worked with Dan when we were both employed at the Berrien County Sheriff Department. I was not aware of his background growing up. It explains his wonderful smile and zest for life. Dan always had a smile on his face. His laughter was infectious. I pray that God, family and friends will provide you and your family with comfort in the days, weeks and months ahead.

Oh my goodness, Where do I start?! I will try not to write a book, but I certainly could. Let me start by saying that having Dan as our brother, was truly a gift to all of us. We are going to miss him immensely! He was the best human being, in every aspect of life. He's given me so much, everything from my lifelong nickname, to a ton of laughs & love...& Yes, I'm going to say it. My dislike of his favorite singer, Iris DeMent! Sorry DJ...(& Iris)! This has accounted for some of that laughter I mentioned, so I know that he'd approve! Sending our love & condolences to Karen, & All of his family & Friends. Fly High Dan!! Love, "LaRue" : )

So many good memories. The world would be a better place with more men like Dan. He will live on through those who have known him. Always genuine, good natured and kind. He will be missed.
