Joyce, I am so very sorry to hear of your tremendous loss of Dale. I will keep you, your children and grandchildren and the rest of your family in my daily Divine Mercy Chaplet. I imagine your loss is great but hope knowing Dale is at peace and finding great joy with the twins will bring you a little comfort. We will cover you in prayer and ask for Him to heal all of your hearts!

Joyce and Family: Brad and I feel so blessed to have known Dale and to be recipients of his strong faith. Dale didn’t just speak about God and the need for having faith, he lived his faith every single day. I was blessed to spend some time in his final days and he shared his faith, once again, through saying a prayer as he knew his days wouldn’t be long. In the days, months, years ahead, know we are here for you. I made a promise on that final visit with Dale, a promise I intend to keep…We know Dale was welcomed into his Heavenly Father’s arms and it is us whom will grieve as we will miss him so. With great love to you and your family…3/16💞

I had the honor of having Nick and Sabrina in my 4th grade classroom the year the DeLongs took their monthlong trip around the country. What a rich experience for the entire family AND all of their class work was complete upon their return (and sorted by subject). Dale loved his family and he and Joyce didn’t hesitate to provide their kids with a priceless educational experience. Nick and Sabrina shared many anecdotes with their classmates from that trip. Dale was a kind, caring, God-fearing, humble man. He is praising God and dancing in Heaven in the presence of his Lord and Savior!

I didn’t get a chance to meet Dale personally, but I felt like I did. Elizabeth shared countless stories about his faith, love for family and resilience! Each story impacted me and made me a little bit better person. So glad to have known him although indirectly but his loss will be felt. Praying for the family, but know that his memory will live on down here in Texas!
