I am sad to learn of Betty's passion. Betty was an amazing servant of God. She loved Jesus with every ounce of her being. I met Betty at church as a teenager. My young life was hard and I struggled from years of abuse and a rough home life. Betty loved me, discipled me, and was my friend. God sent this amazing woman into my life because I needed her. I remember helping her in her garden, her teaching me to cook, taking me to Sunday school conferences, helping her in Sunday school and Awana, and just spending time with her. Most of all, I remember her worn out Bible and her steadfast devotion to God's word and prayer. I have thought about her and talked about her to others my whole life. She will be deeply missed but I know she is with Jesus and happy. I can never fully express my thankfulness for her or to God for sending her into my life. In my own church I tell people all the time, be a "Betty" to someone. What a profound difference she made for the Kingdom of God and in the lives of others. She was deeply loved and will deeply missed.

Where does one begin to express my deepest condolences to Mrs Booth’s family. What a beautiful tribute to such an amazing and strong woman. A true disciple of Jesus. I grew up down the street from the Booth family in Schiller Park. I remember riding my bike and would always see Betty tending to her garden in her jeans and flannel shirt after a long day of driving our school bus. I had the pleasure to be seated safely on her bus in grade school and high school. She was truly the best. I always knew her husband passed young, i guess i never realized how young. I never recall her feeling sorry for herself. Just forged on for her three daughters. I always thought that was best because i came from a family of three girls. I’m sorry to learn Sally passed as well. Knowing Mrs Booth, she is rejoicing in reuniting with her beloved who greeted her. She’s home. She arrived safely no doubt. Until we meet again… May God hold you in the palm of his hand

Mrs. Booth was a one of a kind lady - many precious memories over the last 30 years I have known here. I especially appreciate getting to know her better the last few. When asked how she was doing, "I'm rejoicing in the Lord!" It didn't matter what was going on, that was always her answer. And it was true. My prayers go out to all of her family. You had a gem of a Mom and Grandma. Because of her, I have some very precious friends. My prayers go out to all of you.
