We were so sad to hear of the loss of good friend and neighbor. Al(Opie) grew up right around the corner and so basically with his family. We were asked to share the news with some friends in the area. As we did, the stories and memories would flow. What a kind and humble person this man was. Everyone had great memories, it truly sad to have lost someone that was loved by so many. His family has gone through a lot these past few years. Rest in peace Al, you are now in the arms of all angels, Vicky and Scott on each side. 🙏🏻

Al and his family moved in next to me when I was a young kid. He always was nice to me and helped me with any projects or difficulty I was having. He knew a lot about a lot of stuff! I was sad when they moved away because I knew I was losing a great neighbor. God Bless

Ron & Becky- my heart goes out to you & the rest of your family at the unexpected loss of your dad. Al was a kind-hearted man who was thoughtful, generous & had a great sense of humor. His laugh was so genuine. I always enjoyed talking with him. This last year he helped me so much with his time, effort & broad knowledge. He would just show up unexpectedly when he knew I either couldn't do something on my own or that it would take me far longer if I had to do it by myself. I was always so grateful & I don't know if he ever knew how much because he refused for me to ever try to pay him back in any way. Such a kind soul. And I love how he always tried to see the positive in things. He would share an uplifting perspective to situations that most people wouldn't think of. I will try to be more like him in that way. I hope the memories you've shared with him over the years, and the memories others share with you now, help to bring you both comfort.
