I'll miss Eric. News of his loss has a hole in my heart. My son spent some time in Searcy, Ark last year and when I told Eric he lit up! I had no idea it was his hometown. He sure could work a tree. A natural. I wish the family well during this tough time.

I met Eric only once. He lived across the street from my brothers for a while and during a yard sale he walked on over. Such a personable and sweet guy! He loved the tree work he did! Had some great stories! My deepest condolences to his family and friends. I'm sure he will be very missed by all that knew him.

I am deeply sorry about Eric. I wish I could have been there. But I would still love to send you some words. I remember hanging out with Eric, Bobby and Shellie years ago. Snowboarding, riding bikes and getting into trouble. But most of all, I felt I had a little brother. I will miss him greatly. My prayers go out to you.

Sorry Eric. Miss seeing you around. I remember when the GF told your new foreman to make or break you. You really stood up and became an excellent climber. Go in peace brother.

When I first met mcmurfree I thought he was a young dumb kid. Good climber but He was trying to fit in instead focusing on work. I told him to shut up and step up. And he did that. He earned that foremans spot. I saw him slowly change and He became someone i enjoy working with. He humbled himself and that is so hard to do when your a tree trimmer. I remember these 5 or 6 really big maples in the backyards of these really nice houses. I climbed and roped all of them all week long. On the last biggest tree. I was fatigued and cut a branch and hit a fence. I came down to take a break. Thats when eric showed up to the jobsite because he was done early with his work. He told me he could finish the tree for me. Not out to impress anyone or show off. No one told him too. He did it because he wanted to help me and the team. Because he had the skills and it needed to be done. I was impressed that he stepped up and he finished the tree like a boss. I shook his hand that day. He earned every bit of my respect. I wish we would have climbed more trees together.
