I’m very sorry for and saddened at Darens passing. We worked together for many years and although I was older, he was a fellow Vet and one of several young Vets who had served in the gulf and came to work after in their 20’s. He was a stand-up guy, a good friend to many and I know and witnessed how much he loved his wife and young family. God Bless Daren and watch-over his family, hold them close.

Competitive, caring and cool is how Daren is remembered by me. At a very early age, at the Tot Lot Park, I learned Daren was a dangerous competitor. It didn't matter if it was marbles, tether ball or a team sport, Daren came to play. Deerlick and Tot Lot will always be my special places to pray for Daren's family and friends. Excellent picture. I met Daren in his dad’s science class. He and Dave waited for a ride home. Daren was the sweetest guy, always smiling always kind. He will be missed, but his memory will never fade.

My condolences to the Hampton family. Though, I haven't seen Daren since I moved away from SH in 1998, I still vividly remember him when we ran into each other at Cisco's tavern. He once chided me that although I would order a pitcher of beer for myself that I didn't have a drinking problem but in his words "a dadgum talent". Daren had a way of seeing humor in any situation. Also during high school basketball, he would be cutting it up with laughter to and from the away games.
