We were introduced to LaDonne through the writings of her husband Allen Mingo. She was very sick with the disease when he introduced us. I learned from his written communications that She, him and their family were devoted Christians and devoted to each other as Husband, wife and family. We all grew up in Covert but I am from an earlier generation, yet our paths to Christ are very similar.

We want this family and especially Allen that we love them in the short time that we have known each other personally and the Proctor family is praying for them as the suffer this irreplaceable Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Aunt to her family. May our Lord Jesus bestow His Blessings on this family.

Al- I never had the pleasure of meeting your wife. It sounds as though she was an amazing lady. My only contact with you was years ago when I met you at the Benton Harbor State Police Post. You were a recruiter at the time and I was trying to get into the department. I did end up becoming a Trooper and am now retired. You made a very positive impression on me and played a part in my pursuing becoming a Trooper. Thank you for that. I will have a good thought for LaDonne and your coping with her loss. Best wishes to you and your family.

To Donnie 's family, I have known the Prewitt's and Mingo family my whole life. We all grew up in Covert. Right now all I can see is her beautiful smile. I never saw her without one. May you rest in God's perfect peace. I will remember you always. To Allen, you two shall wear a crown, No one could have taken care of Donnie like you. Bro. Mingo, Chanda and Sonja and your families! Sending our deepest condolences In the home going of our dear Sis. Mingo. As you know, We"ve had lots of history together. lots of good memories and cherished fun times! This seems unreal. But one thing we do know is that we will she her again and that weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning! Allen, you were the best man. I remember when Russell and I rode our bicycles over to The Pruitts. Fred senior was the first person out of the house and told us to leave and don't come back till we were driving. How poetic, in fact, I used that line a time or two. Ladonna, Godspeed and forgive my human shortcomings for not staying in touch as much as I should have. I wrote a comment earlier but I don't believe it was posted. My prayers will be with your family for God's strength, comfort and guidance in the days ahead. Its unfortunate for me that I didn't know Sis LaDonne real well but I did know how she exemplified a woman of God full of grace . And she had such a beautiful smile. I wish I had known her better. Just listening to the family talk about how she loved and put others ahead of herself...what a legacy to leave behind. You will miss her tremendously. But be assured you will have a grand reunion in the the presence of the Lord someday. God bless you all🙏

Condolences to the entire Family. I thank God for allowing Allen and LaDonne to be our example of a true Godly marriage! I have always admired your oneness. LaDonne would be so proud of her beautiful Home Going, and how her Family captured her heart and shared it through pictures, kids,Husband and Grand kids. Thank you all for sharing God’s Angel!
