RIP Chuckie. I can still see your smile and hear your laugh. I remember stopping at Waterland on my way to beach with friends. You said...my little cousin ...going to the beach with her friends over and over. Saw many firework shows you and Danny set off back in the day off the pier in South Haven beach. Fond memories. See you someday again my Cousin!! Love you ❤

The memories of our friendship from early adulthood always bring a smile to my face. Remember fondly the days of detailing cars at the shop. "You polish glass, you don't clean it." If memory serves me right I learned this from Chuck. Many fun times together. Condolences to Cheri, Darren, Kevin, Renee and Grace Magnolia whom I'm sure he adored. RIP Chuck

My heart goes out to you Cheri, and loved ones. I just now learned of Chuck’s passing from my brother Jim. Immediately, we started rattling off great stories of Chuck, as we all were in high school together, and beyond. Chucky was TRULY one of a kind. He was always upbeat, positive and walked to his own beat, and destiny. He loved cars !! His best decision by far was to sweet talk Cheri into marriage ! Great guy...I can see him smiling in heaven ! His best decision was to sweet talk Cheri into marriage. Upbeat, positive and followed his own path and destiny.

Today I am sad, having just heard about the passing of my long-time South Haven friend, Charles A. Rehfeld, Jr. Chuck Rehfeld was truly an original person. He was always himself, and never tried to imitate anyone else. He worked hard at the jobs he had, like restoring cars and running his conveniences store. He and Cheri, married for over 41 years, both provided well for themselves and their two sons. As hard as he worked, Chuck understood that living a good life included having fun with people you love and enjoy. He was never without a joke or a story that would have you laughing on the spot. He was always a fun guy to hang out with. I once read that "A great man is someone who doesn't remind you of anybody else." Well, that's how I will always feel about my good friend, Chuck Rehfeld. May he rest in peace. ~ Jimmy Canonie
