I will always remember Judy for her loving kindness and concern for me while she was Dr Ken O'Neill's nurse @SWMC. Even after her retirement, I would see Judy out and about and always got the same friendly smile and concern! Rest In Peace Judy! You will be missed

Frank, Andy, and all of the James Family, I was so saddened to hear of Judy's passing. I know that this has been a difficult road for your family, but what a special family you are! It has always been so obvious, the love and compassion you share for one another and with a person like Judy in the center of it all, there is no doubt where it all stems from. I share the news with many of the members of the Michigan Maritime Museum, and please know that we all share in your loss of this special lady. She will be remembered with so many special memories. What a vibrant, kind, generous and caring person she was. I feel so fortunate to have known Judy and will always think of her when I bake those delicious chocolate chip cookies! Thank you, Judy! God Bless you. Patti Reinert

We are sorry that we can't join you on Sunday but know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. Bruce and I will come to visit you soon. Skip, Val, Nitz and Char.

Judy was more to me than my cousin. She was the long distance sister that I never had. From playing with her in the family attic when we were children to the visits with me in my garden in Florida when we both became adults, there was never anytime that we could not instantly connect. Somewhere there is a garden in need of a loving touch and no doubt, an animal that is in search of a caring heart. I am certain that Judy will find her way to care for those in need. Rest in peace Judy and know that you left this world a better place because of your giving heart.

I cannot say how very sorry I am to hear of your loss. I consider myself fortunate to have known Judy (and Frank). My parents have been great friends of theirs for many years. Frank was my sixth grade teacher, and I was the James children's babysitter for several years. My memories go back a ways, but they are all fond. Again, my condolences.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Frank James and his family. Judy was a good friend to me and a long time friend of our Mom and Dad. She is and will be greatly missed. 10 years Mom's (Eleanor's) junior they most interestingly and coincidentally each passed just 20 hours of each other. And they will both be laid to rest this weekend in South Wayne Cemetery. Life is filled with remarkable 'coincidences.' And daily we each have opportunities to relish precious moments with those we love. Let's stay aware of this and waste not a one! A great way to honor the kind and giving person we knew.

Condolences to you, and thinking of you all. I cannot thank both Frank and Judy for all of the love and support they provided to my grandma. You both made her life brighter, and mine as a result. I'm so sad to hear of Judy's passing, and makes my grandma's all the more fresh. I'm sure that they are having a wonderful time now that they are together again. Frank, your and Judy's friendship to Joan and Eddie is something I strive for myself. Love to you.

Frank, We are so very sorry for your loss......Judy was a beautiful woman inside and out. Our deepest sympathy is extended to you and your family. We so enjoyed seeing and talking with you at our 60th class reunion in September. She looked so beautiful that night and seemed to really enjoy herself. We are sorry we can't attend her memorial service, but our dog had to have ACL surgery on Friday and we have to help her walk.......I know Judy would understand the reason we can't attend. Again, our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Gabe and Jo Ann

Such a lovely tribute to a sweet person. I remember her from the times in school when we would perform for our school programs with our singing group, The Harmonettes. She always had a smile. So sorry that her health issues finally claimed her busy life. My special thoughts are with you.

I first met Judy at the South Haven Center for the Arts many years ago. She was such a lovely person inside and out. Her special love of all animals was a topic we talked about often. Judy was a gifted artist and appreciated great works of art. Her positive attitude about life made her a delight to be around. I will miss her so very much.

Judy and I enjoyed taking Aerobics classes with Louise Ford for several years. I remember seeing some of her knitting projects that she would bring in to show us. Very talented and lovely person.

Dear Frank, So sorry to here of Judy's passing. I did not know. Sorry I miss the service. Judy was such a wonderful person. She was a student in my Aerobic class and never missed. She would invite the class to her house for coffee and home made goodies after class at least once a month. When my husband Peter got sick in 2010 you and Judy came and visit him at Bronson. That meant so much to me. He passed this last December. Judy was such kind and thoughtful person. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family at this difficult time. Louise Ford

Dear James family, I was so sad to hear of this from Mom. Here is a memory of Judy James. I used to babysit for the family when the kids were little. Those were very late nights as Judy and Frank always had a ball when they were out. I remember the various animals living at the house but I remember one night particularly where the cat had kittens and decided to nurse them and care for them in Judy and Franks bed. I was told to just leave them there--it would be okay. She had such an easy laugh and sunny personality. She was always so happy to see you. I always loved seeing her. Thinking of you Frank at this time--so sorry for your loss of this great lady.
