Heaven gained another angel...Carl not only was the one who helped get me here, by driving my Mom to the hospital for me to be born, but was also our pastor, to guide us in our relationship with Christ, there through my elementary years as our counselor, and a forever friend...always with a hug, a smile and never ending encouragement...so blessed to have him and your whole family in my life...he will be greatly missed.

In 1974 Rev Nisbet married Bob and I. And in 1999 we had the privilege to have him renew our vows and he still had the original paper he had wrote on with our names and all. Will always remember him with love and application for all he did in his years as a pastor. Our prayers are with the family and friends.

I'm reminded of a question I asked a friend a while back. "Why does someone so good have to leave us so soon?", she answered that God, like us, goes into his garden and picks the flowers that are beautiful and give us great joy. Sara and family members: I was looking forward to seeing Sara and Carl again as they headed back to Bainbridge this month. It was always great to visit with them. Having read the postings on this page, Carl helped many folks with his ability to help heal hearts and minds. Carl always put others first and loved life in a huge way. Family was very important to him and he enjoyed every minute spent with his children, their spouses, their children and his loving wife, Sara. He will be missed dearly, but many wonderful memories will always remain! He lives within my heart!

Sara, Greg, Kathy, and Craig Cherie and I are so sorry for your loss. You as a family, and his enormous number of friends, students, athletes, and teachers have lost a great soul. It is hard to calculate how many middle school children he counseled over his 30 years with the school system. With a smile, a soft word, and a hug to put a stamp on his genuine concern for each child, he was a "Teddy Bear" away from home that they could trust with their growing pains. How many of us could feel the atmosphere in the room go up when Carl strolled through the door. Thank God for allowing us all to have had Carl touch our lives in a unique way on this journey of ours. May the many memories you have sustain you until your souls reunite in Heaven. Sincerely, Jim and Cherie McCloughan
