I only met Blaine once when he was a newborn baby. Most recently, I watched his life here on facebook through the pictures his mother posted. I saw a beautiful soul who shined through that amazing smile he had. My heart breaks for this family, but I know that one day soon in Heaven, when we are all reunited, I will get to meet Blaine in person, and I look forward to that day with great, great joy. There are many prayers of comfort and peace being poured out of Heaven for those left behind until the day they have Blaine in their arms again.

I am so saddened by the passing of such a great young man and loving soul. Blaine did not let a day go by without doing something kind for someone. As a player he was relentless, and did everything his coaches ask him to do, and more. He never left the practice field nor game field without leaving everything he had on the turf. He inspired his teammates to give their all and do their best. He was a quiet leader, with a quick smile, who let his actions speak for him. Nobody wanted to be tackled by Blaine McGowan. He was one of the hardest hitters to ware the purple and gold for the South Haven Rams. Now that we have lost one of the best, we must remember that he taught us to give our all while we are here. My prayers, thoughts, and love go out to Paul, Barbara, Mikayla, Miles, and all his teammates and friends.

Although I did not ever get the opportunity to meet this fine young man, I felt compelled to send a message to his family. My husband and I are praying for your family and friends, as they miss and remember you. You were such a fine young man. May God be with your loved ones as they remember the good times and love they experienced with you. May your soul rest peacefully in heaven, as you look down and watch over all your family friends until you meet again in heaven. You were such a wonderful example of a fine person, so I understand. Peace and understanding and love to the family and friends of a wonderful young man who went to heaven to soon.

I am so sorry for your loss, I know that he will be remembered with love by all and will always be in your hearts. I lost my brother right after Christmas so this has become a difficult month to get excited about as I long for his presence. For me songs on the radio come on and I want to call him, or I am driving and a memory comes up. I get choked up talking about him sometimes. He is in my dreams sometimes too. Your memories will come at any time of the day and night. Sometimes they will cause some sadness from the void of missing him, but I hope you will always cherish them and embrace them. Sometimes they give me comfort and peace. I am always thankful and grateful for the time I had, and wish I had more. I hope you rely on each other for strength as no one needs to grieve alone. I wish you peace for your hearts and souls during this devastating time.

I will always remember Blaine sitting in my class as the bell rang and everyone quieted down. Except Blaine would already have his notebook open and text book ready while everyone else was still preparing. That is how I remember him... always a few large steps ahead of everyone else not ready to be second to anyone ever. Blaine was driven to do his best. He loved his family and his friends. He was destined to be a great MAN... in our minds he made it. Until we all gather there together, Blaine....
