Oh, my dear friend, you will be missed by so many. Although I found you (you found me?) later in life, you had such an influence on me. I am so grateful. May the family be always mindful of your great accomplishments on their behalf, and your love of them all and God. Rest in Peace, Irene, and enjoy the next step.

Frank, Jim and Jane: Such a loss! Your mom was such a special lady to me, always had a smile on her face when she was us and late in life, a peppermint patty. She will surely be missed and fondly remembered.

We are so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. I have fond memories of both your great mother and father. Growing up your mom always welcomed us to your home with open arms and the meals she made for us will never be forgotten. Whenever I would see her over the years, she would always greet me with that warm smile and twinkle in her eyes asking how everyone was doing. She did so much for our community, never looking for the credit only because she cared so much for all. Frank, we were also so sorry to hear about Gail’s passing, she did so much for my parents over the years. All of your families and South Haven lost two wonderful women that will be truly missed! Cheryl and I will not be able to make the service Wednesday but you all will continue to be in our thoughts and prayers. Take comfort in knowing that both Irene and Gail are at peace in Gods kingdom and will always be with you.

Jim, Jane and Frank,
Sorry to heard of the passing of Irene. I'm sure she is in a better place. Always remember the years in SH working retail and the bond all retailer's had. I wish that were truth today.
My thoughts are with you.

We were sad to hear the news of your Mothers' passing. We remember what a great person she was as a Mother. Grandmother, and businesswoman. I know just how much she cared for her family. What a blessing each of you had to have her as a Mother! She will be missed in the South Haven community. Try to remember the good times spent with her, as this is her legacy. Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

Very sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. She was a wonderful person and I have such fond memories of her and Al. My Dad loves to tell the story (over and over) about the time your mom came into his office, shortly after we moved to South Haven, to give him a "new perspective" on things. This was after Jim had sprained is ankle in the field behind the high school. Dad always tells this story in a way that showed how much he knew your mom loved you guys! He respected your folks very much.
Laurie and I will be thinking about you guys over the coming days.

Jane - I'm sorry for the loss of your mom. I still have my bad days although my parents have been gone for 7 & 8 years....I miss them like crazy. That is when I have to lean out my Heavenly Father and my Faith to get me through and when I think about where my parents are - it certainly gives me a sense of Peace. She was a beautiful lady and she raised a beautiful daughter. I pray that you too will soon find Peace knowing that your mom is in the greatest place - I love to think about that moment when my mom and dad met Jesus for the first time....how incredible!!! Hugs to you my friend - Diane

Frank, Jane Jim and families...
My heartfelt condolences on the passing of both Gail and your Mom. I will always remember her with a smile as she was so kind to me whenever I would do any service calls for her in the past. You could tell she loved life and all that it meant. Take care and rest assured she is now at peace, her smiling being passed to those in Heaven.

These are very difficult times for your family and I am so very sorry for your loss.
Irene was a part of my life always. From being my mothers maid of honor when she married my father to being the wonderful lady I bought my school clothes from. She was my neighbor down the street with the beautiful roses, always a smile, always kind. A true Matriarch of a South Haven family.
Frank, Jane and Jim, my heart is with you and your families.

Jim, Jane & Frank:
My condolences for your loss, but with great celebration and admiration of all your mother was in life and will always be in fond and loving memories. I never imagined that a simple summer job waiting tables in college would lead to a cherished friendship over three decades. Irene celebrated cradle-to-college with me what was so important to her ... children and family. On my many summer trips to South Haven, I always, always looked forward to seeing your mom. I will always love her dearly.
