Lloyd's Obituary
Lloyd E. McCash, 87, of South Haven died Thursday, May 21, at the home of his son.
He was born March 6, 1922 in Cheboygan, Michigan to George and Edith (Deroshia) McCash. Lloyd served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He married Jean E. Hoiland on October 19, 1946 in Cheboygan, Michigan. Lloyd worked as a commercial fisherman from the age of 14 retiring in 1982. Lloyd’s fishing boat was named Carolyn. In his later years Lloyd worked at Lakeview Cemetery for 5 years. Lloyd was a member of the South Haven Moose Lodge #697, VFW #667 and the American Legion #49.
He is preceded in death along with his parents by his wife – Jean E. McCash in 9 brothers and 2 sister also precedes him.
He is survived by 2 sons – John “Jack” (Nancy) McCash of Lake City, Michigan and Richard (Sue) McCash of Bangor, Michigan. One daughter – Sue (Glenn) Higgs of South Haven, Michigan. 7 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. One sister – Shirley Berube of Mt. Clemons, Michigan also survives.
