Uncle Charles was a free spirit and lived life to the fullest. We should all live by his example of what life is truly all about. He showed us all that we should live each day as it were our last. We will miss you Uncle Charles! We love you, Pat and Amanda

Jaime & Terena, It is times like these when I pause and reflect on my childhood and many fond memories growing up together in South Haven. We certainly spent a considerable amount of time as children together and I will never forget the free spirit of your Dad. As an adult I was able to visit with your dad on a few occasions and I always remember how will he treated Steve & myself as children. Know that I will be thinking of you all in the coming days. Free and easy down the road you go charlie.

Terena Sue, I'm so sorry for your loss. We go way back girl. I remember staying at your dads house and riding horses. He would always joke with me and have a smile on his face. He always made me feel welcome. Not to mention our dads go back even further, I know they use to cause a "little" trouble back in the day. It wasn't too long ago your dad was telling me a funny story about the two of them running around together. Even though we don't talk alot, you'll always be a great friend of mine, you need me, I'm there!! Love ya girl!! You're in my thoughts!! Shelly

I remember as I was growing up in Blytheville,Arkansas there was this guy that came down to my grandma's house, along with his family, who would go without his shirt in the wintertime. I know an Arkansas winter is much milder than a Michigan winter, but still no shirt? That was my Uncle Charles for ya. His son and daughter would say "youse guys", while we would say "ya'll" and while we were "cruising" in Arkansas, they were "juking" in Michigan, that's my cousins, Jamie and Terena. I remember swimming in Lake Michigan when I was a kid and it seemed like the ocean and I remember riding on a snowmobile with my Uncle Charles in the dry grass because it was summertime, but he did it for me anyway. I didn't get to see Uncle Charles that often growing up and even less as an adult but, I loved him very much. To my cousins, Jamie and Terena, I love "youse guys" and my wife Gina and I pray that you feel GOD"s peace and HIS love for you. I will always cherish the found memories of your dad, my Uncle Charles. Glenn and Gina Hinton and kids.

My condolences to Patti and kids, the Hinton family and friends. Charlie was a good man and anyone that knew him should feel grateful. I'm gonna miss running into you and Patti waiting to hear your southern voice say "Hey little Underwood". Or hanging out w/ you and Sledge hearing old stories about what kinda trouble all you old guys and my dad use to get into. It's gonna be hard to drive by the house and not see ya out there dink-in' around in the yard. I will be sure to still honk! Words just can't express how it feels when we loose a good man. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you who knew Charlie... we're all gonna miss ya Old Man. Kristy Jenks
