Dan's Memory Wall
We encourage you to share your most beloved memories of Dan here, so that the family and other loved ones can always see it. Share your favorite stories or comment on those shared by others.
Dan and his entire family touched our lives in many good ways. Dan mentored Dodge in banking when it was Inter City Bank. His wife Pat was a beautiful person inside and out. I had the pleasure of coaching the girls in volleyball and my sons, Dan and Dave have fond memories of their classmates. Our sympathies to you all from the Karpinskis.

I am very, very sorry about the death of Dan Smith. When I came to Buchanan with my young family in October 1957 I recall that Dan was the youngest bank employee at the Union State Bank. By the same token I was the youngest lawyer in the Clark Equipment Company Legal Department. I quickly got to know Dan and his father Fred. The latter worked for Equipment Finance Company, later Clark Equipment Credit Corporation, the finance subsidiary of Clark Equipment Company. I had many business and other relationships with Dan over the intervening 64 years. Dan was a very accomplished banker, and a good friend. .I will miss him. Don Ryman
